It is true -- no hype. These guys are some of the best musicians you will ever hear. They have a terrific website. You owe it to yourself to check it out at www.battlefieldband.co.uk. Better yet, check out their tour schedule and go hear them live. You won't regret it.
Not just fantastic musicians, these guys are really funny. I'm not talking canned, corny banter here. They have sharp minds and aren't afraid to use them. Read the tour diary on the website -- funny stuff.
Beyond being seriously talented professionals with quick wits, the boys from Battlefield Band are fine people. If you have a chance to talk with them after a show -- and they will talk to you -- you will know what I mean. Alan, Sean, Alasdair, and Mike seem like guys you could go out and have a pint of Guinness with after the show. Underneath the professionalism and the humor, they have a kindness and decency that shows. From the crotchety-est grandpa to the wiggliest child, the guys treat their fans with patience and respect. Fine musicians, fine people -- it just doesn't get any better than Battlefield Band.
