About Caberfeidh Productions

Dale MacKenzie Gross discovered his interest in all things Scottish during a life-changing trip to Nova Scotia in 1977. Shortly after, he met Gibson MacKenzie of Alabama – the founder of the Clan MacKenzie Society in the Americas – and Gibson became a mentor to Dale. With the encouragement and help of Gibson MacKenzie, Dale has become the avid, no, rabid Scot that he is today.

In 1996, Sara Jean Buie was undergoing a life-changing experience of her own. After attending a concert by Scottish singer Peter Morrison, she decided she would explore her inner Scot at the Jacksonville Scottish Highland Games. There, Sara Jean met Dale MacKenzie Gross … and the rest is history. After a three-year courtship, during which time they traveled and saw the entire state of Florida, Dale and Sara Jean married on June 30, 2001. They share an intense love of Scotland -- its history, its traditions, its heritage, its music, and everything else you can imagine that is Scottish.

In 2007, Dale and Sara Jean decided to travel a new road together and founded Caberfeidh Productions, LLC. Caberfeidh is Gaelic for "deer antlers" – the symbol of the Clan MacKenzie. The mission of Caberfeidh Productions is to bring the best in Scottish, Celtic, bluegrass and folk music to the people in the Tampa Bay area. That mission has been and is still being accomplished.
