I had hoped to keep a current blog of all our events posted regularly, but I have discovered two things on this trip.  First, Internet access, while available in the islands and highlands of Scotland, is a bit sketchy.  Second, trying to see Scotland in three weeks is a futile task that leaves little room for sleep, much less time on the computer.  However, I have made many notes and hundreds of pictures, and I will be sharing our adventures after the fact.

We made it to Scotland yesterday, exhausted and a bit worse for the wear.  The trip was difficult, the worst part being our 2-hour layover in London.  Heathrow is large and was very crowded yesterday.  No one seemed to know what was going on or where we needed to go.    We almost missed the flight, but with a little help, we made it.

We have met many people from the US and Canada here.  Everyone here is Scottish, and therefore, family.

Today was gray, rainy, cold, and windy — and Dale couldn’t have been happier. Tomorrow is the first day of The Gathering, and we are looking forward to seeing and hearing our friends in Battlefield Band. Photos are forthcoming.
